PCT Atlas
This year Erik Asorson thruhiked the Pacific Crest Trail. I followed his journey and was happy to see when he finished. His trail journals and thoughts are on his personal site.
He has been working on a new set of of guidebooks for the PCT. It will be a set of 5 books, 3 for California, 1 for Oregon and 1 for Washington. His new site, PCT Atlas, gives all the details. The books are promising a new look and way for PCT guidebooks, something I am very much looking forward to. He is in tune it seems with one of my big frustrations with a certain PCT guidebook on the market...that the maps are bad, don't follow any pattern and hopscotch around. And honestly? All I want is maps with the important information on the map. The writing is fluff you read up at home and it stays at home.
Looking forward to seeing the books, and if you love the PCT, take a look!
